Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
1. Overview
Tabuki is operated by Tabuki LLC, a Wisconsin limited liability company ("Tabuki," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights regarding your data.
By using Tabuki, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Account information: your name, email address, and the business name you choose to display on your invoices.
Payment instructions: the payment handles or links you choose to show brands — for example a Venmo username, a PayPal or Zelle address, or a payment link. These are the details you want brands to pay you with, and they appear on the invoices and reminders you send. Tabuki does not collect or store bank account or routing numbers.
Collaboration and invoice data: brand names, brand contact email addresses, amounts, due dates, descriptions, payment status, and the reminder history for each collaboration.
Roster information, if you use a plan that supports managing multiple creators: the creator names and roster details you enter, and the collaborations and payments you associate with each creator.
Subscription information: your plan, billing status, seat count, and the subscription identifiers we receive from our payment processor. We do not collect or store your payment card details.
Technical information: sign-in and session data from our authentication provider, and standard server logs from our hosting provider, which may include IP address and browser or device information.
Email delivery data: whether the invoice and reminder emails you send were delivered, bounced, or failed.
Communications: any messages you send us for support or account questions.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and improve the Service — including generating and sending invoices on your behalf, sending payment reminder emails to the brand contacts you specify, displaying your collaboration and payment data within your account, and sending account-related notifications.
We also use information as reasonably necessary to secure the Service and prevent fraud or abuse, to respond to your support requests, to comply with our legal and tax obligations, and to enforce our Terms of Service.
4. We Do Not Sell Your Data
Tabuki does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or invoice data to any third party.
5. Data Sharing
We send invoices and payment reminders to the brand contacts you designate. Those emails contain the information you entered for that collaboration — typically your name or business name, the brand name, the amount due, the due date, a description of the work, and your payment instructions. This is the core function of the Service, and it happens only for the collaborations and recipients you set up.
We use third-party providers to operate and support the Service: an authentication provider (Clerk) for secure sign-in, a payment processor (Stripe) for subscription billing, an email provider for sending invoices and reminders, and database and hosting providers (Airtable and Vercel). Payment card information is collected and processed by Stripe rather than by Tabuki.
We do not share your data with advertisers, or with unaffiliated third parties for their own marketing purposes.
6. Legal Disclosures & Business Transfers
We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that it is reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law or legal process, to enforce our Terms of Service, to investigate suspected fraud or abuse, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Tabuki, our users, or the public.
If Tabuki is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you if your information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy as a result.
7. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored using third-party infrastructure providers. We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure authentication.
While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, to comply with our legal and tax obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements.
You can request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us at info@tabuki.com. We will process your request within 30 days and remove your personal data from the systems we control. Some records may persist afterward — for example, billing and tax records held by our payment processor, authentication records held by our sign-in provider, and routine backups, which are overwritten on their own schedule.
9. Creator and Brand Information You Enter
Tabuki lets you enter information about other people: the brand contacts you invoice, and — if you manage a roster — the creators you represent. Those people are not Tabuki users and have not agreed to these terms.
You are responsible for the information you enter about them, including having the right to use it and to email the addresses you provide. Tabuki processes that information at your direction, in order to provide the Service to you.
10. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@tabuki.com. We will respond within 30 days.
11. Cookies
Tabuki uses cookies and similar technologies necessary to operate, secure, and maintain the Service — primarily to keep you signed in and to support secure billing. We do not use cookies for advertising.
12. Age Requirement
Tabuki is intended for users aged 18 and over, consistent with our Terms of Service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice in the Service. Continued use of Tabuki after updates means you accept the revised policy.
